Khlong boats like these travel along the Khlong San Seeb, Bangkok. They transport about 15,000 people everyday and are therefore a vital transportation network within Bangkok.

Just off the Khlong San Seeb, in Pratu Nam, Bangkok, people start early to prepare food. This sort of a food stall attracts local works from both the nearby offices and the river workers. I don't think they have a hygeine certificate, I could be wrong.

The Location is the San Seeb Khlong (Canal) that runs through the heart of Bangkok. The Canal Carries over 15,000 people per day and charges an average of 16 baht (about 23 pence) per ticket. As you can see, it's a harzdous occupation working here; equally hazardous for passengers getting on and off. I've seen people go in the water. Any comments or suggestions?

Cropping can be quite interesting. The first picture is cropped in a traditional 1:1.25 ratio (the original is a 10" x 8") while the second picture is a more modern 1:1.41 ratio (297mm x 210mm A4). Which do you prefer? I'm interested to know what format photographers use, especially when using digital cameras.

It has been scanned, digitised, resized, then cleaned up a little bit in photoshop CS2; but mainly this is how it was shot. I no longer have my notes for this shot, but as I was rolling my own film then, it would have more than likely been shot on TMAX 400 ASA (The dredded TMAX)

This was originally shot in the early 1980's (I think I was about 16 years old) with a Pentax ME Super. The location was a closed down school campus in Burton On Trent, England.

I printed this originally as a 12" x 8" print and remember struggling with the small size of the developing trays.

It has been scanned and digitised then cleaned up a little bit in photoshop CS2; but mainly this is how it was shot.

This was originally shot in the mid 1980's with a Pentax ME Super. I have lost my notes for this shot, but I think it was shot with Kodak TMAX 400 ASA film. I remember that the developing times on the instructions were rubbish and left the pictures under developed...or maybe it was me; as a 16 year old introvert, surely I was not making the mistakes! LOL. Did anyone else have this problem with Kodak TMAX?

It has been scanned and digitised then cleaned up a little bit in photoshop CS2; but mainly this is how it was shot.

This still life photograph was shot in RAW at F/2.2; 0.3 sec; 12.7mm Focal Length; No Exposure Compensation; Shutter Priority; ISO 50; Spot Metering.

The camera used for this shot was a Canon G6 and was then created in Photoshop CS2 by using several seperate filters and layers.

The item was a Chinese New Year present from a student; it's only about 2" long. Esentially the bags represent health, wealth and Prosperity.

I couldn't believe it! I saw one of my photos on someone elses site, what are the chances; I thought, Hmmmm, I like that image, then I realised that it was mine. LOL. Obviously my Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 License worked splendidly in stopping someone else saying that my work was their work. With this in mind I've tried to make them less appealing to thieves but putting a watermark layer over the image, reducing the size from A3 something much smaller and also reducing the image resolution to around 75dpi.

If you want to use some of my images for something that is non profit orientated, no problem, just let me know first..eh! Thanks.

Alternatively if you want to buy any images then let me know and I can get the full size images in TIFF format for you.

This picture gives me nightmares. The Hi res print is fine, but I just cannot do anything about the Gamut Clipping in the low res jpeg image used for the internet. The colour banding is just horrific and ruins the picture. Can anyone help me out and and tell me how I can resolve this problem?
